Series TV Vortex Flowmeter (Multivariable)

    Description

A vortex flowmeter is one of the most reliable instruments for industrial flow measurement. Unlike mechanical flowmeters with rotating components, a vortex flowmeter has no moving parts — which means it requires virtually no maintenance and delivers stable, long-term performance. It is suitable for measuring the flow of liquids, gases, and steam, making it a versatile choice across process industries such as oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and utilities.

The Series TV Vortex Flowmeter uses a solid-state piezoelectric sensor to detect flow with high accuracy. Available in in-line and insertion configurations, it covers pipe sizes from 25 mm to 2,000 mm. The multivariable version simultaneously measures volumetric flow, mass flow, temperature, and pressure — providing comprehensive process data from a single instrument.

    Description

    What can it measure?

The Series TV Vortex Flowmeter is capable of measuring:

    • Volumetric flow rate
    • Mass flow rate
    • Temperature (built-in sensor)
    • Pressure (optional — for mass flow calculation of gases and superheated steam)

    Typical Applications

This vortex flowmeter is well-suited for:

    • Saturated steam and superheated steam lines
    • Compressed air and industrial gases
    • Water and low-viscosity liquids
    • Process pipelines in oil and gas, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, marine, and utility plants

    Key Advantages

    • No moving parts — virtually zero maintenance and no calibration drift over time
    • High accuracy: ±1% of reading for liquids; ±1.5% for gases and steam
    • Wide pipe size range: in-line 25–300 mm (1”–12”); insertion 250–2,000 mm (10”–80”)
    • Wide temperature range: –20°C to +350°C, suitable for superheated steam and high-temperature processes
    • Multivariable display — volumetric flow, mass flow, temperature, and pressure on one instrument
    • High flow turndown ratio of up to 40:1, reducing the need for multiple meters
    • Certified for hazardous areas: Intrinsically safe and Flameproof rated
    • Battery or solar powered option available — suitable for remote or off-grid installations
    • All calibrations are traceable to USA National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)

Our flowmeters are calibrated against a gas flow primary standard and are traceable to the USA National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and other international standards.

The flowmeter can be integrated into other systems such as a recorder to analyse data and help optimise your process or steam flow.
