A Strainer is a type of pipe fitting. Liquids pass through it for the removal of solids. Strainers protect sensitive equipment such as:

Conical Strainer
Standard sizes from 3/4” to 48”
- Usually used for start up or minimal debris is expected
- Standard Materials: SS304, SS316, Carbon Steel are standard. Other materials available on request
- Can install horizontally or vertically

Y-Type Strainer
- Standard sizes from 1/2” to 16”
- Economical
- Equipped with blow off valve for flushing
- Can install horizontally or vertically
- Flanged, Buttweld, RTJ, Socket Weld, Threaded connections are available
- Standard Materials: Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, SS304, SS316 are standard materials. Other materials available upon request

Tee-Type Strainer
- Standard sizes from 1/2” to 24”
- Flanged, Buttweld, RTJ connections are available
- Three flow configurations saves you a Tee Joint.
- Filter can be designed for upstream or downstream bidirectional flow
- Can install horizontally or vertically
- Drains, vents and special covers are available as option
- Standard Materials: Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, SS304, SS316. Other materials available upon request

Basket Type Strainer
- Standard sizes from 3/4” to 48” . Larger sizes available on request
- Flanged, Buttweld, RTJ connections are available
- Design can be fully customized according to required open area / pressure drop / dimensions / other engineering considerations.
- Drains, vents, air eliminators and special covers are available as option
- Standard Materials: Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, SS304, SS316. Other materials available upon request

Duplex
- Standard sizes from 3/4” to 48” . Larger sizes available on request
- Switchover is possible to allow removal of filter while process is running
- Flanged, Buttweld, RTJ connections are available
- Drains, vents, air eliminators and special covers are available as option
- Standard Materials: Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, SS304, SS316. Other materials available upon request

Automatic Strainer
- Standard sizes from 2″ To 36″
- Designed for the continuous removal of suspended solids. Used where high levels of debris are expected
- Cleaning is done by an automated spring-loaded blade and brush system.
- Accumulated solids are collected at the bottom of the strainer and expelled
- Standard Materials: Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, SS304, SS316. Other materials available upon request
