Basket Strainer

The main feature of a basket strainer is the removal of the filter element from the top. There will be a handle for easy removal of the filter screen. Basket strainers are the most flexible of all the designs. It is suitable for applications to remove large amounts of solids. It can handle large flowrates with minimal pressure drop.

It can be fitted with a blow down valve to clear the filter without removing the entire basket and disrupting the process.

Connections available include threaded, flanged, socket weld and butt weld. Special connections can be requested.

The basket strainer can be equipped with bolted covers, hinged covers, davit arms or other lifting devices.
